Meet the Team - Natalie Lowe
This week we had a quick chat with Natalie Lowe, our Admin Assistant & PA to learn a little more about her role at IT Hotdesk as well as what she does away from work.
How long have you been part of the ITHD team?
I started with IT Hotdesk back in July 2018 so coming up for 9 months.
How do you think your colleagues see you?
I would like to think that my colleagues see me as a team player. I have good organisation skills and an optimistic approach to daily tasks which I think adds huge value to our busy team. I really enjoy supporting Gordon, our MD and the wider business and I get satisfaction from keeping the office running smoothly.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Mainly I am working with clients providing customer service, taking calls and dispatching helpdesk tickets to the next appropriate and available IT Tech. Admin wise, I’m heavily involved in placing orders with suppliers and creating purchase orders and sales orders as well as carrying out daily, weekly and monthly reports. However, my role is very varied, and every day is different which I like as I often complete miscellaneous tasks and project work to support Gordon.
What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this?
I am a real animal lover and I would love to work as part of a charity, such as SPCA. I do volunteer from time to time because I realise these jobs are tough, but they are also very rewarding.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
As part of a busy IT company, I am getting the chance to learn so many new things on a technical and business level. Working alongside a talented team to help and support customers is really rewarding and I think we all get great satisfaction out of resolving any issues that arise because IT is such a critical part of every business nowadays.
Personal Questions
What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?
As well as supporting animal charities, I also volunteer for Befriend a Child (BaC) and I’m actually a registered befriender. BaC support children who are growing up in troubled and disadvantaged circumstances and as a befriender, I spend time with children by taking them out a couple of times a month to give them new experiences as well as have fun.
An inspirational Quote (sorry couldn’t think of someone I find inspirational) !
“Believe you can and you’re half way there”. I always remind myself this when any sort of self-doubt creeps in!
What TV Series are you currently watching?
Game Of Thrones. An American fantasy drama series in which Nine noble families fight for control over the mythical lands of Westeros, while an ancient enemy returns after being dormant for thousands of years. I’m hooked and now watching the final season which is airing now!
